Grim Fandango Remastered (Patch 1.4.0) (GOG) Game

Grim Fandango Remastered is a point-and-click adventure game that was originally released in 1998 by LucasArts and developed by Tim Schafer and his team. The game is set in the Land of the Dead, a world inspired by Mexican folklore and film noir, where the souls of the deceased must travel for four years to reach their final destination. The game follows the story of Manny Calavera, a travel agent who works for the Department of Death, as he tries to unravel a conspiracy that threatens his salvation and the fate of his true love, Meche Colomar.

The game was critically acclaimed for its unique setting, characters, story, humor, and music, but suffered from low sales due to the decline of the adventure genre at the time. In 2014, Double Fine Productions, Schafer's current studio, announced that they had acquired the rights to the game and would remaster it for modern platforms. The remastered version features improved graphics, sound, and controls, as well as new features such as developer commentary, concept art browser, and achievements.

The remastered version was released on January 27, 2015 for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Android. The game is available on, a digital distribution platform that offers DRM-free games and additional goodies such as wallpapers and making-of videos. The game has received positive reviews from critics and fans alike, who praised the game's timeless charm and quality improvements.
